Renewal, right outside your door

Not sod and a few bricks. A new way to live at home.

A couple raising a glass in Adirondack chairs beside the backyard pond and waterfall Good Earth built for them

Evenings on the patio instead of the couch. The sound of water through an open bedroom window. Friends who come over just to sit by the falls.

Brothers Dan and Kevin Stanza grew up learning first-hand from their father's business how to design and build backyard dreams. They've focused their talent and passion to designing and building natural ponds, streams, waterfalls, and fountains. Every feature is designed around your yard, your views and the way you want to spend your time out there.

Cascade Corner

A tight corner between a patio, a fire pit and a raised patio became a multi-tiered pondless waterfall you can watch from the downstairs bar.

The waterfall seen through the tall back windows of the home that was designed around it

$60,0008 days

From the first blueprint, every major room was planned to frame a view of cascading water. We wrapped a pondless waterfall around the patio so it is in view from the bedroom, the gym and the living room.

The Good Earth Water Gardens team in green company polos
  1. Family, hands-on owners

Dan and Kevin Stanza learned the craft from their father and are still on site, on the phone and on your project.

  2. Certified Aquascape Contractors

We build with Aquascape ecosystem components and methods, and we warranty all of our work.

  3. The yard, designed around the water

We start with the water feature so it looks like the home was built around a natural spring.

  4. Here for the life of it

Spring clean-outs, fall netting, winterization and repairs, for the features we build and the ones we inherit.

What does a backyard water feature cost?

Fountains in our 2026 Inspiration and Pricing Guide start at $4,000 to $6,500, pondless waterfalls from $11,000 and small koi ponds with a waterfall from $15,000. Complete backyard projects in our project stories run from $28,000 to $250,000. Our cost page estimates yours with the same formula we use.

Do you take care of water features you did not build?

Yes. Much of our maintenance and repair work is on ponds, waterfalls and fountains other companies installed, including ones whose builders are long gone. We find the leak, fix the pump, clean it out and keep it running.

Where do you work?

Across the Kansas City metro in Missouri and Kansas, from our office on NW Vivion Road in the Northland to Overland Park, Leawood, Prairie Village, Mission, Parkville, Weatherby Lake, Platte City, Mission Hills and Loch Lloyd. See all service areas.
