Kansas City has more than 200 working fountains – and those are just the public fountains in KCMO!

Residents and visitors alike fall hard for fountains and it’s easy to see why. The beauty and the relaxing sound of splashing water make any environment more serene and lovely.

At Good Earth Water Gardens, we’ve definitely got the fountain bug. We love bringing the magic of fountains to homes around Kansas City. Here’s how we’re spreading the word.

Starting small

In 2014, we ran a special for a small stacked urn fountain for under $1,000. It was a great deal, but only one customer took us up on it. However, it got our wheels turning about showing off the possibilities of fountains in residential areas.

Fast forward to 2016. Our team installed a set of three stacked slate urns in front of our co-owner Dan’s house / Good Earth Water Gardens World Headquarters. Being in a pretty noticeable area right off Hampton Road, this trio immediately got some attention.

Exploring fountain options

We saw more interest in fountain features and we continued to get the word out. The Good Earth Water Gardens team installed displays at nurseries and rock yards. We also created demos at events like home and garden shows. We were even featured in an article in The Kansas City Star.

Demand for fountains continues to grow – and we’re thrilled. We’re installing more small fountain features in yards and garden beds. But we’re also pushing our creativity with some challenging water features.

What started as some waterfalls in the median of a subdivision entrance grew into so much more. We incorporated fountains for a truly memorable statement. Projects like this are an exciting way to beautify our community.

But a fountain doesn’t have to be in a highly visible public space to make an impact. A fountain in a small garden bed can spread joy and beautify your corner of the world.

KC is second only to Rome in the number of fountains. When you’re ready to create your fountain in Kansas City, let us know! Good Earth Water Gardens will work with you to explore your options and find the fountain that’s perfect for you. Give us a call at 913-479-8090 or connect online.
