For years the Richmond family's backyard in Weatherby Lake had a steep, uneven hillside that was difficult to maintain and nearly impossible to use.

We reinforced the terrain with boulders, designed multi-level cascades over granite boulders to mimic a natural stream, and added a natural-slab stepping stone stairway so the hillside is safe to walk. The waterfalls can now be enjoyed from the fire pit, the patio and inside the house. Seven days, $55,000.
